St Andrew's Churchyard, Holborn

The landscape proposals for the west end of St Andrew's churchyard in Holborn create a variety of sitting areas for individual and small groups. A sinuous walls unifies the proposals.

Two circular spaces have a dish shaped cross section: One to hold water and relating to the church entrance. The other is grassed and invites people to lie on the ground with a view of the sky. As such both circular spaces have a reflective quality appropriate to their churchyard setting.

Related ideas and themes were realised in our proposals for Peacock Place, Laycock Street.
