This development in Croydon for a mental health charity creates safe accommodation for individuals who have suffered some degree of mental illness and require extra care. Thirty one units of different types are arranged on the site to create layers of defensible space.

Everyone has their own front door. As the confidence of each resident grows shared entrances encourage interaction with others and create a sense of belonging. These entrances together with shared courtyards and landscape areas provide stepping stones to independence and re-integration in everyday life.
