Brady Mallalieu Architects
Shepherds Bush, London
30 new flats are created by converting a 1960's office building for developer Pocket. The flats are specifically aimed towards the needs and requirements of young home buyers trying to gain a foothold on the London property ladder and are designed to 'Pocket' principles. Features such as individual 'grow your own' allotments and bicycle maintenance areas respond to the growing demands of urban living. A palette of new materials has been chosen to work with the aged and slightly weathered materials of the existing, which will provide the building with a fresh, clean aesthetic.
