Brown Rudnick Offices

Mayfair, London

The London office of international lawyers Brown Rudnick is in a row of large grade two listed Georgian town houses in Mayfair with modern office space behind. Brady Mallalieu Architects have completed a phased series of refurbishment and interior design works including front of house, back of house and office areas.

The centre piece of the project is the renovation of a double height atrium that was previously underused. This has been lined with timber acoustic panels to improve noise control and includes a sculptural spiral staircase.

The contemporary renovation also included the installation of new artworks within the building, such as the abstract painting by Ditty Ketting in the atrium which makes connections with the history of the building which formerly used to house Dutch masters.

Client: Brown Rudnick LLP

“The atrium is now enjoyed by all our staff and clients who use the space for meetings and functions. After hours the furniture is moved to make way for yoga and exercise classes and we have even held food and drink and social events there.”

Scott Burns, Managing Partner Director Brown Rudnick.
