Pampisford Road Supported Housing

This development for mental health charity Together creates safe accommodation for individuals who have suffered some degree of mental illness and require extra care. Thirty one units of different types are arranged on the site with layers of defensible space created by shared courtyards and unit groupings. Everyone has their own front door. As the confidence of each resident grows shared entrances encourage interaction with others and create a sense of belonging. These entrances together with shared courtyards and landscape areas provide stepping stones to independence and re-integration in everyday life.
