Tivoli Container port masterplan

Cork Ireland

BMA were invited to take part, along with a group of architects, in a design charette, organised by the RIAI, to brainstorm ideas for the redevelopment of a low lying, 60 hectare piece of reclaimed land in the River Lea estuary that has been in use as the Port of Cork container dock. The ideas were presented to the client and later published in a book.

Subsequently BMA, in partnership with RKD Architects, were shortlisted for the masterplanning commission for the site.

Below are our original charette slide presentation followed by 10 principles for the masterplan from the interview presentation.
